Our team

Ferd Weijenborg

General Practitioner

I have been a general practitioner for 26 years now and I still enjoy my job every single day in Leiden. No day is the same in this profession. I see patients, ranging from young to old, with big or small problems and I try to understand the patient's perspective to help them as best I can. It remains very special that as a GP, I get to build a bond of trust with my patients. Outside of work, I am mostly an active sportsperson or I am reading a book, at home with my wife. Our two children have now left the house.

Liselotte Wijsman

General Practitioner

Since 2020, I have been working as a general practitioner. I prefer person-centered care and low-threshold contact to find the approach that suits you best. I was trained at the University of Leiden & I received my PhD degree in the relation between heart damage and dementia. After that, I worked in internal medicine and psychiatry. For now, I will be working on Thursdays and I look forward to welcoming you in our practice.

Present on: Thursday (and starting from November 1st also on Tuesday)

Emmy Snippe

Doctor’s assistant

Hello, I am Emmy Snippe and I have more than 30 years of experience as a doctor’s assistant, a profession I enjoy very much. I consider the bond that I have built with many patients in the practice very valuable and it gives me satisfaction to help them with their complaints. This can be over the phone, but I also have my own consultation hour in which I perform minor medical procedures such as taking smear tests or caring for wounds. In my free time, I like to walk or I am at home with my husband and two daughters.

Present on: Monday and Tuesday

Angela Koelewijn

Doctor’s assistant

What I think is beautiful about being a doctor’s assistant is that I can help people with their health. Generally, I am the first to hear the patient's story and I assess the best course of action for the patient, such as an appointment with the GP. I also enjoy my own consultation hours because that way I am more directly involved in providing the healthcare to our patients. In addition to the regular assistant tasks, I have received extra training to treat wounds or provide first aid for minor injuries. This way, every day is different and I really hope to be able to make a difference for the people. I recharge my batteries at home, in the presence of my husband and children. In addition, I like motorcycling and (heavy metal) music.
